Gillian Higgins is an international barrister, who uses mindfulness in all aspects of her life. She is the author of Mindfulness at Work and Home, a down-to-earth beginners’ guide to mindfulness (Reddoor Press, 2019). She has also pioneered work in mindfulness amongst her professional peers, rapidly building a reputation as a leader in the field. Working in what is often a highly stressful environment, as well as being a mother, Gillian - and her book - show us that mindfulness is an essential tool, helping us to cope with life’s challenges:

I needed to find a calmer approach to my work and home life. As a person guided by fact and reason, I found that mindfulness was a no-nonsense, scientifically-proven and versatile tool to downsize stress and to be more present. Following a regular practice is one of the best decisions I have made.”
